Can I place hot pans directly on the mat?
Yes—it's heat-resistant up to 200°C / 392°F. For red-hot cast-iron or oven trays just pulled out at higher temps, use a trivet to extend the mat's service life. Not for use inside an oven or on active burners.
How do I clean it? Is it dishwasher-safe?
Wipe with a damp cloth for daily care, or rinse with mild detergent. It's dishwasher-safe (top rack). For grease stains, use warm soapy water; avoid abrasive scouring pads and sharp blades.
Will it slip, curl, or bunch up on the counter?
Silicone is naturally non-slip. If grip weakens, clean and dry both the mat and surface. If edges curl after unpacking, reverse-roll the mat or warm it slightly (hair dryer, low setting) and lay flat with light weight until it sets.
Can I trim it to fit my countertop or island?
Yes—it's cut-to-size. Use scissors or a utility knife and a straightedge for clean edges. Measure twice before cutting.
